With the addition of the Makaira thrust bearing, the re-designed Alijos two-speed lever drag reels now reduce side load at heavy drag settings, remaining lightweight, compact-bodied, big fish-stopping machines. We use and sell the 12SII model, which is an ideal match for our Mutton Manager rods, and the 16II model, which matches well with our Grouper Scooper rod.
